Welcome to the world of
family law.
I hope your stay here will be brief
and that you can move on with your
new life shortly. You have come to
the right place to find a solution
to your issues.
This website gives you a good
introduction to the substantive
issues, such as custody and access,
child support, spousal support, tax issues and
property division. It also outlines
the process issues. How are you
going to get from where you are now
to where you need to be? I
offer a free, 30 minute phone
consult to help answer that
question with the end goal having
you holding a fully signed
separation agreement with terms
acceptable to both parties....read more about

My Approach
to resolving family law issues.
We bring a common-sense and mindful
approach to our clients. Our goal
is to get you in and out of the
settlement process as quickly and
cost-effectively as possible.
Some lawyers tell clients to sit in
the corner, be quiet and to only
speak when spoken to. This is not
the relationship that I have with
my clients. This is a
partnership. I know the law and have worked with
clients through thousands of
separations. However, the client
knows his or her life history,
desires, goals, his or her spouse,
his or her children...I believe it
is possible to be both a zealous
advocate and an enthusiastic
peacemaker without sacrificing the
needs and safety of my clients...read more about

Where Do We Start?
After practicing family law for
over fifteen years it has become
clear that the most important
factor in family law is the process.
The longer I do this, the more I realize
how important the process is to the outcome. In
the vast majority of cases the
substantive issues are not that
complicated. Once the proper
process is selected the substantive
issues will be resolved. How do you get
from where you are now to
where you want to be, with
a signed separation agreement? This
is the most important question in
family law. Once this process
question is answered the
substantive issues such as children,
assets, income, will be resolved
within that process. All of my
clients use one of the processes
described below to achieve
resolution.
1.
Proposal
2.
Mediation
3.
Collaborative
Family Law or C.F.L.
4.
Five way
facilitated settlement meeting
5.
Court.
